I'm well versed in 3d software but haven't used Blender before. Blender has been getting lots of praise over the past couple of years, so I followed Blender Guru's quintessential donut tutorial to get acquainted with the software.

I'm looking forward to working more in Blender and taking advantage of some of its unique pipeline and powerful features, like Geometry Nodes.
Below is an initial comparison of Cycles on the top, Blender's raytracing/frame-by-frame render engine, and Eevee on the bottom, Blender's real time render engine. These were using basically default materials and render settings.
